What are the preferred applications for UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar can be used for repairing concrete on roadways, bridge decks, sidewalks, parking garages, curbs, footings, loading docks, and industrial floors.
How deep or shallow can UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar be used?
UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar can be used from featheredge to 2″ and 2″+ to 6″ deep when extended.
What are the placement limitations for UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
Do not use UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar applications on unsound concrete or like surfaces. Not intended for applications over 6″ deep. For deeper applications use UNIQUE® Highway DOT Performance Fast Setting Concrete.
What should I do prior to using UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar for an overlay?
For overlay applications at least one section should be prepared to evaluate the suitability of the materials and procedures.
Can you extend UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar to achieve deeper patching?
Yes with a washed 3/8″ gravel. If you are patching from 2-4″ you should extend it by 25% and from 4-6″ you should extend it up to 50% by weight.
Do I need to add any curing agents or other additives to UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
All you need to do is just add UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar to the pre-measured water.
What is the curing time for UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar can be opened to foot traffic in 1 hour and vehicular traffic in 2 hours.
How can I delay or speed up the set time for UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
You can extend the cure time of UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar by using cold or ice cold water and speed up the set time by using warm or hot water.
What is the best way to cure the UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
Damp cure all UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar installations. Begin curing as soon as the surface has lost its moist sheen. Keep exposed surfaces wet for a minimum of 1 hour. When experiencing extended setting times, due to cold temperature or the use of retarder, longer cure times may be required. The objective of damp curing shall be to maintain the continuously wet surface until the product has achieved sufficient strength.
Do I need anything special to clean my tools or other items?
No, UNIQUE® concrete products are water soluble prior to drying. Clean container and tools with water prior to the material drying.
What are the compressive strengths of UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
1 hour strength is 2,500 psi. 1 day strength is 5,500 psi. 7 day strength is 6,900 psi. 28 day strength is 8,400 psi.
What is the coverage rate of UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
50 pounds of UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar yields approximately 0.44 cubic ft of finished product when mixed with 3.4 quarts of potable water.
What type of packaging is available for UNIQUE HPFS repair mortar?
